The British government is prepared to move forward with using the entire amount of seized Russia's holdings to support the Ukrainian defense operations, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the leaders of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this joint measure would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the move would be carried out in strong partnership with the United States.

British restrictions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russia's resources since Russia launched its full-scale invasion against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, up to this point, money allocated to Ukraine using Russian funds had exclusively been drawn from gains and dividends accrued on them.

Sir Keir told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their goal to drive progress toward utilizing the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national funds to conclude the conflict.

He noted that more sanctions soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This statement is subsequent to EU leaders met in the Danish capital last week to discuss utilizing immobilized Russian assets for a €140bn credit to Ukraine.

Recently, US President Donald Trump called on Group of Seven partners to confiscate or employ frozen Russian holdings, as reported by media sources.

The worth of seized Russia's holdings in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

Moscow launched extensive missile and drone strikes all over Ukraine on Friday, causing electricity outages in many areas of the capital city, the city, and multiple additional areas.

Several persons were killed and at least 20 people were injured in the attack, the Ukrainian government stated.

In a post on an online platform following the incident, Zelensky commented that the cynical and calculated attack aimed at civilian and energy infrastructure.

"What is required is not just talk but concrete steps - from the America, the European Union, and the Group of Seven - in supplying anti-aircraft weapons and enforcing sanctions," he stated.

"Each restrictive measure diminishes Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky wrote, in a different message.

In the same period, Zelensky told the press he would urge Sir Keir to join the PURL scheme, under which partner nations acquire arms from the America to donate to Ukraine.

While applauding the Britain's firm backing for the Ukrainian government, he said it should send a clear signal that it would take part in the initiative, as well as impose further measures on the Russian Federation.
