Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in Johannesburg.
A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been fatally gunned down in the country's largest city Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a country battling persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the city centre on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Police said the 40-year-old presenter was approached by a trio of assailants, one of whom began shooting at him before escaping on foot.
The purpose of the shooting has not been established and no arrests are in custody, as per the official statement.

Authorities indicated that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a building in the vicinity of the city center landmark.
He had been present for hours at the site supervising the installation of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by unknown people, it was reported.
"The report indicates the man was confronted by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they shot at him before escaping on foot," an official report said.
Surveillance tape reportedly captured a man with dreadlocked hair and clad in what appeared to be a guard's attire firing shots on Stock before running away.
The DJ tried to run away after he was hit but succumbed to his injuries on the opposite side of the road.
Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and no items were stolen during the assault.
